Update your Quote API now to use Ethernet Access Fibre quoting with Mobile Backup and Mobile Rapid Activation.

07 Jun 2022

Quote API now includes Ethernet Access Fibre quoting with Mobile Rapid Activation and Mobile Backup.

Online in no time, Rapid Activation and Backup delivers an interim Ethernet Access service using the Wholesale part of the Telstra Mobile Network while the Ethernet Access Fibre is being installed. Once the Ethernet Access Fibre is installed, the Mobile access becomes a backup.

You can also order Ethernet Access Fibre with Mobile Backup only. This provides customers with service continuity in the event of an outage on their primary Ethernet Access Fibre service. The mobile backup service is activated at the same time the fibre service is installed.

Customers can perform a quote of these services by onboarding the latest product id’s: 170 - Mobile Backup and 180 - Mobile Rapid Activation to their Quote API request.

You can quote a Backup (only) service with the addition of product id: 170 - Mobile Backup and requesting the Mobile Bandwidth characteristic from (download/upload) up to: 10/10 Mbps, 20/20 Mbps, 40/40 Mbps or 100/50 Mbps. There is also an option to request for an Alternate NTU delivery Address using the place object and adborId as an input.

When quoting a Rapid Activation and Backup service both product id's: 170 - Mobile Backup and 180 - Mobile Rapid Activation must be present in the quote request. With product id: 180 - Mobile Rapid Activation, customers must also request an installation option (Professional Install or Self-Install), and a delivery option (Rapid Activation Delivery: Immediately or Wait for Cost Approval). When you order Rapid Activation, the service converts to a Mobile Backup service when the fibre service is activated.

Note: Mobile Rapid Activation must be quoted and ordered with Mobile Backup.
